TYPICAL HIGHWAY ADVISORY RADIO OPERATIONAL STRATEGY:
Messages broadcasted from the various transmitters may be identical or individually customized for the location (providing sufficient distance between transmitters).

The messages may be a combination of the following elements:
- Voice synthesized traffic conditions updated from the 511mn system, including crash and road closure information.
- A short pre-recorded work zone/traffic safety message.
- A short pre-recorded description of the entire project scope, schedule, or other project trivia.
- Voice synthesized travel delay information as calculated from various directions and various routes.
ANTICIPATED SYSTEM AFFECTS:
When properly designed and deployed for a specific project, a TI (HAR)
System should inform the drivers what the estimated delay time is between two points along the roadway beyond them. It is anticipated that the system will give drivers information which will allow them to decide whether to change routes, provide them opportunity to notify others of their estimated arrival time, and generally provides drivers sufficient information to calm tempers when they arrive at the cause of the delay.
